This forge consists of a workshop and an ox stall. The building is a free interpretation of fourteenth century forges, performed in original medieval building materials: old wood of a French farm and Roman bricks from a Dutch excavation. The walls are foisted with yellow clay, which is typical of the southern Netherlands. The blacksmith makes supplies for construction, such as iron fittings and nails, knives and decorative objects. He does not make any weapons, the gunsmith does that. Oxen are strong draft animals which can be easily driving. Oxen usually consists of two brothers, who have been brought together under one yoke.
