Baker

Early in the morning the baker kneads the dough and stoke the oven behind the house stands by burning brushwood. If the bread is baked, he blows his horn and everyone comes to pick up his order. In the residual heat from the oven may still baked pies. This house is one of the interpretations of the Edamse house (see 40). It has no chimney, but a smoke hatch in the ceiling above the fireplace.
