Bathhouse: Tepidarium

Bathhouse: Tepidarium

The tepidarium, in Latin "tepidus" meaning lukewarm, is the pleasantly warm central space in a bathhouse. The floors and walls were evenly heated by the central hypocaust behind the hot tub. As a result, the temperature was thirty degrees with a moderate humidity. Through the tepidarium people could go to the frigidarium, the cold bath and the caldarium, the hot tub. In our tepidarium you can experience what it is like to be wonderfully massaged by a real Roman masseur.
