Weaver

Weaver

The weaver makes cloth from wool or linen thread. Behind the house grow several dye-producing plants. The required thread is spun on the spinning wheel. The horizontal loom is an invention from the 13th century. It enables the work to be done faster, but complex patterns are no longer woven.

This house is one of the representations of the Edam house.
