Tinsmith

Tinsmith

The tinsmith makes in his workshop the famous insignia. Pilgrims take this little souvenir back from their journey. But many other insignia are popular. For example two tripping, slippers, to symbolize marital fidelity, or a comb as a sign of Sint Blasius that protects your throat. Also quite mischievous performances are represented by badges. This 'hutkom' comes from Ommen, the year 1000 AD.
