Successful Midsummer Fair

Successful Midsummer Fair

Archeon Museum Park looks back on a successful Midsummer Fair. For two days, music, folklore, traditional crafts and the celebration of the summer solstice took centre stage.

Archeon Museum Park looks back on a wonderful and successful Midsummer Fair. On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July, visitors enjoyed a unique weekend where history, fantasy, music and ancient midsummer traditions came together.

Throughout the park, there was plenty to experience. Visitors enjoyed performances by SCRUM, Merulsa & Band, The Dolmen and Airboxes, joined Balfolk dance workshops, watched traditional crafts in action and explored the extensive fantasy and craft market. Street theatre, colourful costumes and surprising acts created a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the weekend.

One of the highlights was the traditional Midsummer ritual in the Arena. Around the Midsummer Fire and the burning of the sun wheel, visitors celebrated the arrival of summer and the ancient traditions connected to the longest days of the year.

We would like to thank all visitors, performers, musicians, exhibitors, volunteers and staff for making this year's Midsummer Fair another memorable event.
