Hortus aromaticus

Hortus aromaticus

The herbal garden next to the house is cared for by volunteers. In the garden are plants that were common in our country during the Roman period. Many were imported from Southern Europe, as the Romans, like anyone else, are attached tot heir own home surroundings. In the centre is a statue of Ceres, the goddess of agriculture.
