Domus

Domus

House for a craftsman with his family; semi kap. The building is a reconstruction of an excavation in Voorburg. It dates from the first or second century. In one half of the house lives a potter, in the other half a decorator where one can order mosaics and paintings. Romans are practical and make optimum use. It is not unusual floors are leased. All this of course only for the plebeians, the common people. Wealthier people live in a villa, a luxurious detached house.

Activity Tour

Under the supervision of an Archeotolk, the students are introduced to the working and living history of prehistoric hunters, Roman soldiers and / or medieval artisans. The tours include different activities.
