Temple

In the cella, the center of the temple grounds, we often find a statue of the god(s). The cella is the seat of the god, where ordinary citizens were not allowed inside. Rituals and sacrifices found place outside the building site. Around the square building is a colonnade. This form building is mainly found in North-West Europe, that's why we also have a Gallo- Roman temple. This cella is a reconstruction of an original from Cuijk.
